🎺 Roinel Vega – Biography

Roinel Vega, known professionally as Roy Vega, is a Cuban trumpeter born in Güines, Cuba, on November 17, 1995. Known for his versatility and solid technique, he has built a successful career in Latin music, moving naturally across genres like salsa, Latin pop, jazz, and other tropical styles—both in the studio and on stage.From an early age, he showed a strong interest in music, inspired by his father, who is also a musician. He began his formal studies at the Juan Pablo Duarte Vocational Art School (EVA), where he trained as a trumpeter and pianist. He later enrolled in the National School of Arts (ENA) in Havana, graduating as a professional musician and performing with well-known Cuban music groups.He lived in Mexico for three years, an experience that enriched his musical style and served as a bridge to move and establish himself in the United States. He now resides in Miami, where he has become one of the most active and respected figures in the Latin music scene.He has worked with internationally recognized artists such as:
Oscar D’León, Albita, Luis Enrique, Leslie Cartaya, Son Lokos, Jeremy Bosch, José Alberto "El Canario", Gilberto Santa Rosa, Nathy Peluso, Servando y Florentino, Alain Pérez, Sergio George, Natty Natasha, Pollo Brito, Sonora Carruseles, among others.He has performed on stages such as:
